Coach Arama
I'm passionate and patient with the people I coach and train. As a coach at PFF, my purpose is to safely improve the health, fitness, mind and life of all members who are part of our community. Improvement of myself and others is what I strive for each day.
Outside of CrossFit, I enjoy learning/getting better, ako i Te Reo Māori (learning the Māori language), golf, riding bikes, property, building & renovations, the movies, watching sport (rugby, league, MMA, NFL), training in places outside of the gym, riding dirt bikes and hanging out with friends & whānau.

Coach Samaria
I thoroughly enjoy mind challenging activities like pub quizzes, amazing races, escape rooms, discussions on controversial topics and board games. I'm actively working on pushing the limits of my comfort but trying new activities like wakeboarding, snowboarding, and snorkelling.
I have done Crossfit-style fitness on and off since 2013. I also participated in social netball and touch rugby between 2013 and 2018. I started Crossfit when PFF opened in April 2019. Crossfit has been my main sport and source of fitness since then.
The home gym I was attending was going to be closing because they were getting too busy with other things, so it was timely that my brother came and opened PFF near where I live. I was glad to have an alternate fitness gym to attend and even happier that it was my brother I was going to be training with.
Squats and the assault bike are the movements I am working to be stronger at so I like when they are programmed into our WODs.

Coach Chris
I'm at the age where my mind still thinks I'm 29, my humour suggest I'm 12,while my body mostly keeps asking if I'm sure I'm not dead yet.
My interests include Basketball, Rugby,Surfing Sailing and now CrossFit. I orginally started my functional fitness training at Crossfit Te Ora in Kerikeri. However after a bit of a break from Te Ora I saw a post on facebook the PFF was opening. Not too long after meeting Arama I joined PFF and eventually became one of the coaches.
Being part of PFF as a coach means that I can continue to do what I love whilst being a part of a team that helps people be the best person they can be. I love how CrossFit is a sport that the last person gets the loudest cheer and the thing that challenges you the most is yourself, watching people improve with various movements gives them a huge sense of satisfaction and accomplishment, I love the banter the environment and being surrounded by like-minded positive and supportive people.
Diane is my favourite WOD as I love handstand push ups.

Coach Pania
I was 8 when I joined the gymnastic team, from then on have participated in various sports from Swimming, Badminton, Softball and Club Netball although I was active I was not a very co ordinated or outstanding athlete till I played Basketball at 15. Due to a good friends support, collectively, team and coach went on to represent Auckland in the NZ Nationals. Im not competitive by nature but play sports for the shear enjoyment of it.
The last 30yrs have been focused on family life. I began to notice my coordination, cardio, strength and confidence had diminished considerably. Realising I needed to be proactive I started looking for something to improve my health when PFF Cross fit found Me, came right up to the door and knocked on it. Arama set up PFF in the space right under our appartment.
Since joining it has taken time to retrain my mind and body, but with support and inspiration from PFF Coaches and Memebers, I enjoy increased energy and strength along with learning new skills. I enjoy Traditional Medicines providing Massage and work on my spiritual developmentl as they tend to go hand in hand. I also love drawing and Illustration, which I find meditative and sometimes moonlight as a Secutity Officer for my husbands Security Company. Coaching team continue to support my coaching developement.
